Sleep hygiene is just a fancy term for the habits and environment that support good sleep. Think of it as a bedtime routine for your brain. It’s about creating the right conditions—physically, mentally, and environmentally—that help your body wind down, stay asleep, and wake up refreshed.

Keeping a consistent sleep schedule is a good sleep hygiene practice to improve your quality. Maintaining the right bedroom environment is also helpful, you work during a night shift it is important to have a cool, dark, and quiet to have a good sleep. A regular exercise is also helpful, good physical health and good sleep hygiene have a synergetic relationship.

Improving sleep hygiene isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. Small tweaks in your daily routine can lead to big changes in how you feel, think, and function. Think of good sleep as a form of self-care, not just something you squeeze in after a long day.
