About Me

Hello and welcome! I'm delighted to share a bit about myself. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who's deeply committed to transforming the world of mental health care. With a diverse background spanning seven years in nursing, I've had the privilege of working in various healthcare settings, including mental health, medical and neuro intensive care units, and providing care to breast cancer patients.

Hailing from the heart of West Texas, I grew up in a small town that instilled in me the values of community and empathy. I pursued my education at Texas Tech, where I earned my BSN, and later advanced my expertise by completing my masters at Texas State University.

My passion for becoming a PMHNP was ignited when I observed the gaps in support and understanding that individuals with mental health concerns often encountered. This drove me to dedicate myself to fostering an environment of empathy, trust, and personalized care for my patients. I specialize in working with both adolescents and adults, believing that every stage of life presents unique challenges and opportunities for growth.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I have dedicated my time to volunteer. Most recently I volunteered with Hendrick Camp Courage, an endeavor that has touched my heart profoundly. The experiences I had were truly transformative, and I'm committed to continuing this important work.

Having returned to Abilene five years ago, it felt like coming home, and I'm overjoyed to be back. Exploring the world of literature, indulging in Netflix marathons, spending quality time with loved ones, and embracing new hobbies (even if I stumble along the way) are some of the simple pleasures that keep my life vibrant.

Thank you for considering me as your partner on your mental health journey. Together, we can navigate towards a brighter, healthier future with understanding, compassion, and personalized care every step of the way.
